I am a 21 year old mentally ill young woman living away from home. I currently write a blog called That Is Mental where I share my candid and down to earth advice and experiences with struggling with mental health issues. I also make art on my Instagram page @art_is_mental. This is my passion and helps quell my anxiety and spread smiles to those who enjoy my artwork.
I struggle with agoraphobia, depression and PTSD and due to this have been signed off sick from work for over a year. I still manage to do my degree as I do as much as possible from home.
Finance is a real struggle for me as you can probably tell as I cannot leave the house without feeling intense anxiety and panic. I had the idea to start creating mental health and self love themed products from the love that my artwork was getting.
I would absolutely love to get this started and I have so many ideas but unfortunately no capital to launch it with.
It would be absolutely life saving to be able to work from home and make my own money again, regaining a sense of self worth and dignity that diminishes every time I have to renew my doctors note.
This target is ambitious, but would help pay for a drawing tablet with which to create more professional designs, and a base set of products such as badges, mugs, clothing etc. to begin my business with.
