Story
The Tiny Shelter in Albufeira has rescued and rehomed over 400 dogs since it opened. It is managed and maintained entirely by volunteers who rescue dogs from the streets, or from neglectful or abusive homes. Now, the shelter and it's 20 current canine residents must move to a new location. The volunteers are unable to pay for this themselves, so we - one of the families who adopted from The Tiny Shelter - are raising money for fencing and building materials to create a new shelter.

7 years agoThe Tiny Shelter is taking shape! The volunteers are building the fences and boxes under the guidance of a professional. The dogs have been taken in by temporary fosters until this is finished. All of this has happened because of people who have donated money, materials, time and a safe place for a homeless dog to stay while they wait for their new shelter. High fives all round! You can donate to the shelter through Just Giving until the end of October.

We adopted our dog, Buddy, from the Tiny Shelter and have kept in touch with them ever since. Buddy was abandoned and would have died without the shelter, so we'd like to be able to give something back to the people who gave us our lovely Buddy boy.
