I recently won the Diana Legacy Award for my work with my mother suffering from a complex mental health disorder. This has resulted in me wanting to expand my work. It is common for young people to feel scared or embarrassed to ask for help or even in some cases fully understand the mental disorder they're having to help their relative deal with, I am trying to stop this, mental health problems are incredibly common, with 1 in 4 people suffering at some point in their life.

As a result, I am looking to start an outreach programme helping to educate young people on mental health disorders and begin to break down the stigma around mental health and get people confortable talking.

The money donated shall be used to help young people understand their realtives mental health issues in a number of ways;
1)Creating and printing leaflets made by psycologists who can explain various mental disorders concisely in a manor accessible to young people.
2) Allow young people one on one sessions with psycologists to discuss their realtives mental illness in greater detail as well as discussing ways in which their care can be improved or enchanced, improving the quality of life for both
3) Other materials that can be used to promote the dicussion of mental illness, leaflets, bracelets and t-shirts.
4) Help create a wedsite with all the information being available to anyone, worldover. This shall also have an anonomous page that will allow young people in similar situations to get advice and support.
