Story
I am trying to organise a mini community Hiphop festival aimed at families and young people. The event will consist of a full day of workshops, live performances, talks, demonstrations and opportunities for people attending to participate, practice and develop new creative skills (e.g. D.J'ing, M.C'ing, breakdancing, street art). It will also be an opportunity for people to come together and celebrate Hiphop culture whilst giving young and local talent the chance to perform and showcase their talents alongside recognised and respected national artists.
We endeavour to make as much of the event as free to access for members of the local community, kids and families.
By supporting with a donation you will help to turn this community ran project into a high profile event which give excellent creative opportunities to young people and upcoming local talent. Newcastle and Gateshead have had a lot of funding cuts over the last 5 years and we need the support of the public to make arts accessible to the community.
