Story
We are raising money to support orphaned Sherpa children in their education, and to providing welfare, health and nutritional services in the Everest region as Nepal recovers from the devastating earthquake of 2015.
Tashi Lama a local Buddhist Monk from Phortse village and his Scottish friend James Lamb set up The Little Sherpa Foundation to support orphaned Sherpa children in their education and as well as providing welfare, health and nutrition services. The Foundation receives support through their Tengboche Trekking Company which offers a range of guided tours aimed at encouraging the expansion of the region’s tourist economy.
