The 12-hour Marathon Match! Chris Madden-McKee vs Jared Monaghan. On Wed 22nd November, on Centre Court at Belfast Boat Club, two former Ulster number 1s will battle it out over 12 hours to raise money for QUB Tennis Club and Cancer Research UK.

The Tennis Club at QUB has over 200 members. With no tennis facilities at QUB, we have to invest in tennis courts, coaching, equipment and others to run our club. Last year, we failed to secure our grant for QUB Sport, meaning we effectively lost over £1000 and finished the year with a balance of -£1344. This year, the committee has been working extremely hard to run the club. We have increased our membership, transformed our training sessions and events calendar, and we are making plans for the annual Irish Tennis Intervarsities, which we will be hosting this year in Belfast. It has been difficult financially, with committee members having to coach at training voluntarily and costs having to be cut in various areas to account for the deficit. But we are committed to having a successful year despite the difficulties, and any donations with certainly help!

50% of the money raised will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
