Story
Welcome to the Red Box Project, an initiative that quietly ensures that no young woman misses out on her education because of her period. We are 100% community driven and run by women around the UK. We place constantly stocked Red Boxes of sanitary wear in schools for young women to access, aiming to reach those who may not be able to afford these vital items.
A survey by Always revealed that 137,700 school girls across the UK regularly miss school because they can’t afford sanitary products.
I am aiming to set up and run the first Red Box in Leicester and need your support to do this. Thank you!

6 years agoSeptember is rapidly approaching and we will be starting to get boxes into schools (see facebook page for updates about this). A fully stocked box for a senior school costs £50 - at the moment we are working on setting up donations to get stock for these. Cash donations are also important and we also need red boxes, posters, paper bags etc which are not donated but are essential for the project to run successfully.
