Weʼve raised £673 to support Tower Hamlets Hockey Club player, Kobirul Islam, who is running the 2018 London Marathon to raise much needed funds for the club.

Story
Tower Hamlets Hockey Club was created to fill a distinct void in the hockey landscape of players from underprivileged backgrounds.
The Club was set up with a recruitment drive and inclusive policy offering players from ethnic minority communities, in particular kids, an opportunity to develop the next generation of hockey stars.
THHC has developed a specialist “Back to Hockey” programme to encourage adults who may have played many years ago during school to join a community focused team. We also have a unique youth driven initiative to introduce hockey as a sport to young kids from the borough, in particular reaching out to those from ethnic minority and underprivileged communities, who are so often ignored by other hockey clubs.

Canary Wharf Sports Personality of the Year Awards. We were nominated for Team of the Year and our young star, Edward Fall, was nominated for Sports Personality of the Year at the #CWSPOTY 2018 Awards.
