Please help us...

We are the Whale family, we are looking for help from our friends & family financially to help fund a Memorial Plaque on a bench in our local Crematorium Memorial grounds near the Baby Memorial where our beloved Thomas Whale has had his remains scattered.

My wife Leeann and I have had a rough journey investigating what happened to the remains of our son who unfortunately suffered an ectopic pregnancy where the Embryo gets stuck in the tube leading to the uterus. Thomas was 12 weeks into pregnancy when he was surgically removed and we had to deal with the loss of our baby on the 2nd of August 2010.

Among the heartache and healing we had no idea what had happened to Thomas, but we celebrated him every year in remembrance.

At the beginning of this year we wanted to know where Thomas' remains were as we had no confirmation he was scattered at our crematorium and we wanted a place to go to remember him, an escape from the real world. So Leeann dug deep and eventually she managed to find his remains in Lincoln, and managed to get him sent to Grimsby for him to be cremated and scattered on the Baby Memorial Garden, which has now happened.

Because having a serene place to go to gather our thoughts and pay respects to our dear son who never got the chance to experience our touch means so much to us as a family and for making Thomas live in Lincoln for 8 years, we feel we owe him something a little special and would love to dedicate a plaque on a bench in the gardens.

We have either option of 5 or 10 years on a bench, at a cost of £170 or £240 respectively. We dont know how long it would take to save up this amount as something always comes up where we need money for something that cant wait, so we would really appreciate it if we could get a little help from you.

We would really like to get the 10 year plaque as that is a lot better value for money and would provide a special place for us to remember "Tom".

We feel we always have Tom around us in spirit and we know he has been there to put his arms around us in our hard times. We know he is as mischievous as his brothers and sisters, and we will always remember him no matter what.
