Story
The Thrashers will be holding their annual Charity Event for 2018 in aid of the ‘Lee Bonsall Memorial Fund’ at Test Park Sport Ground, Southampton on the 29th September 2018 from 10:00am.
Gate open at 10:00am for you all to make this a joyous day out with the family. Come down to experience American Football, Live Music, Arts & Crafts, Experiences, Raffles, Food & Drink, Competitions, Meet the team and much more.
The feature event on the day will be the, ‘THE CHRISTOPHER BUTCHER MEMORIAL GAME’ between the Solent Thrashers and Ipswich Cardinals which will be kicking off at 2:00pm.
A little background on the charity we've selected:
The Lee Bonsall Memorial Fund was set up to help local charities and other veterans in the memory of Lee following his tragic death after his struggles with PTSD. This was a charity that was close to the heart of a member of both the cardinals and thrashers family Captain Christopher Butcher, whom served in the Royal Artillery. In late 2017 the Thrashers and Cardinals families were rocked when we Christopher sadly lost his life. Chris was a hero who proudly served his country and it is our honour to raise money for a cause that meant so much to him.
Admission will be FREE, Parking on site is £2.00, programmes £3.00.
All funds raised on the day by the club will be donated. This event is close to the hearts of the club and any donations will be greatly received and appreciated.
