Story
In India, school attendance and quality of education is linked to many variables. A few examples of these include remoteness, the provision of toilet facilities, and safety. It is proven that female attendance in schools is strongly linked to having a female specific toilet onsite; while those families who live too far from the closest school cannot afford daily transport fees, so have no schooling options available to them at all. Whilst on my World Challenge in Southern India next year my project focus will be on education, improving the safety and comfort of the students, teaching a bit of English and, if I am placed in a community without any educational facilities, helping to build a new school.
I have to raise all the funds myself and the money raised will pay for my flights and accommodation as well as part of the fee being donated to the school/community I visit. Every penny counts and gets me closer to my goal so please dig deep! Thank You so much! x
