Story
I need to raise a further £6,000 to electrify the winding of the very public clock at St Philip & St James church, Hallow, Worcestershire. This is a very visible clock to all who commute into Worcester via the A443 Hallow Road. Currently it is wound by hand, and has been so since its installation in 1899, but the clock winder (me) is getting no younger and most church clocks are now wound electrically to avoid having to stand on ladders and platforms. Many clocks have been stopped thro' health and safety concerns (notably the nearby clock on Hallow school at one time). The clock is very visible and a much loved feature of Hallow village. So far we have raised £3,219 but need another £6,000 before we can put an order in to do the work. Please help us meet that target!
