In November 2016, our friend Jeff Sykes fell whilst simply pottering with his dog in the garden. He fell backwards from a slip on the step, resulting in severe whiplash injury to his neck. He was rushed to Leeds General Infirmary, where they discovered he had damage to his spinal cord. After an operation to relieve pressure from the spinal cord and a two week stay in LGI, they transferred Jeff to the spinal rehabilitation unit at Pinderfields in Wakefield where he spent an intense 6 months of physiotherapy treatment. He is now a Tetraplegic.

The money raised will help towards, Weekly visits to a specialist gym in Wakefield, enables Jeff to use the RT300 machine, this costs £70 every visit. The apparatus he uses at Pinderfields physiotherapy centre, we can purchase and set up an in-house gym for Jeff to use daily. Obviously the much needed equipment costs money. The money raised will help Jeff on his road to recovery and with daily activities that many of us take for granted in our everyday lives.
