Myself and a group of 11 other school students are travelling to Sierra Leone on an immersion in February 2017. We are going to visit two schools while out there including St. Francis Secondary School and St. Joseph's School for the Hearing Impaired, both in Makeni. Our school raise money for Sierra Leone on a regular basis as there is a link between St. Francis Secondary School and our school. Both schools are part of the Congregation of Christian Brothers.

After the most recent Ebola outbreak, we are going out there to help assist those in terms of education and providing them with simple academic lessons, such as Maths, and tutoring the children on what life is like around where we live and the UK culture.

I am asking for your support in helping fund my trip to Sierra Leone so that more of the money we raise as a group can go into buying resources and providing additional funding for the schools themselves. The trip is going to cost £1500 for me to go out there, however, a reasonable amount has already been raised through fundraising at various charity events. The funds have been raised through sponsored walks, social nights, supermarket bag packs and more. The funds I raise on this page will go towards paying for my vital vaccinations, the flights, the accommodation and transport in and around Sierra Leone.
