World Scout Jamboree 2019

I'm very privileged to have been selected as a member the Somerset Scout Contingent for the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia, USA, in 2019. It's a real honour to be able to take part in this worldwide gathering. The World Scout Jamboree takes place every four years and provides a unique opportunity for over 40,000 young people, from 150 countries, to live together and share their values and culture.

To gain the most from this experience, I will be attending many training camps and preparation activities between now and next June and raising £3,995 to attend. Part of this cost helps to give young people, from developing countries, a chance to attend, where the cost would normally be out of their financial reach.

To raise the money, I'm carrying out a variety of fundraising events and seeking grants and sponsorship from local businesses. I will be really grateful for any extra help to reach my target by the end of June 2019.
