Andrew Murray is a four year old boy from South Lochs who has an undetermined neurological condition. This condition began at fourteen months old, seeing him go from a normally developing child achieving all his milestones, to a child that has regressed to a point where he finds it difficult to simply move.
He cannot talk and is wheelchair bound for most of the time.
He also can no longer eat normally and has to use a feeding tube inserted into his stomach.
Recently he has developed severe scoliosis (Twisted Spine) which means he is no longer comfortable in the chair provided by the N.H.S.
Andrew’s parents would love to get him a specially moulded chair know as a PPod chair.
These are custom made and cost between £800-£1500, depending on the adaptations needed.
