Story
This is for the family of Jamie Dinnen who recently passed away under tragic circumstances. Please give generously.
Jamie was a good kid, always helping others before himself, he had a heart of gold. Unfortunately for Jamie he didn't look after his own well being as well as he should have. Jamie battled leukaemia from an early age which he eventually defeated. Whether that had an effect on him or not in later years I can't say. Jamie also battled depression. Unfortunately after his father Mike died five years ago he went into a downward spiral. He smoked a lot of grass and took a lot of prescription drugs. His family tried to get him help from all quarters, but like many others, the mental health system in this country failed him miserably. Our political leaders care more about silly sectarian fights than they do about real politics. Our society is broken and no one seems to care. Our young people are leaving their homes for the final time in coffins. Twenty odd years after the Good Friday Agreement, our neighbourhoods are in a worse state than they were before it. We would really appreciate Jamie's story getting out there. Unfortunately jamie won't be the last kid this happens too, but if we can reach out to save at least one it's a start.
