THE family of a little girl with a rare neurological condition are appealing for help to raise £2,500 to buy her a new specialist car seat.

Jessica Morris, three, was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome last year.

The disorder affects the development of the brain which often begins in early childhood.

The condition affects approximately one in every 10-12,000 females and is only rarely seen in males.

The Tillingham toddler needs a specialist car seat to help her posture and ensure her spine does not suffer deterioration as she gets older.

Jessica, who is having physiotherapy to try and help her get walking, has out grown her current car seat.

Her family fear it is too dangerous to take her out in the car with the ill-fitting seat.

But with car seat Jessica needs costing £2,535 they have turned to Newlife – a charity which funds specialist equipment for disabled or sick children.

Mum Tracey Morris said: “It’s become very difficult taking Jessica out in the car because she is no longer comfortable.

“She’s a tall three-year-old so transferring her in and out of the vehicle is starting to be a challenge
