I don't tend to mix my running with fundraising activities so this one is a one off... In February 2018 I will be racing in Gran Canaria, hoping to cover 125km with 7500m of climbing in under 30h. I want to use it to raise some money to help 3 rescue centers who do an amazing job in saving abused and abandoned greyhounds in the UK and in Spain. It is a cause close to my heart but I am also doing it for selfish reasons- I can really do with an additional reason to keep going when the going gets tough... which I know it will!

Last year thanks to Kent Greyhound Rescue and Clare Greyhound Project, a skinny terrified ex racer greyhound Amber entered our lives and completely stole our hearts making me fall in love with this beautiful gentle breed. Whoever said they were addictive was right and a year on we have just welcomed a new addition to the family- Spanish galga Vienna, rescued by 112 Carlota Galgos. This fundraising campaign is a thank you for saving our two girls and letting us have them. I wish I could do more but hope it will help in some way in the wonderful work KGR, CGP and 112 Carlota Galgos are doing every day and against the odds to save these wonderful loving creatures from all the psychopaths out there who frankly don't deserve to be called 'humans'.
