Story
Hi everyone,
As you may or may not know, my husband Mark lost his brave fight with cancer on 26.11.2016, at home peacefully with his family.
Mark came across people during his fight that did all they could to make our whole family's life as easy as they could at such a difficult time, but the people who stick in our memory are the Macmillan wards at North Cambs hospital and Queen Elizabeth hospital who brought a smile and even a song to the hardest days.
Because of this, we are asking that instead of flowers or expensive outfits donations are made to these two wards in Mark's memory and honour, as a way of thanking the people who helped him in countless ways
All donations we receive will be split between the two wards, along with any donations we receive at the funeral.
We plan to present these donations to the wards in person along with a framed copy of a poem Mark wrote to bring comfort if only for a minute to other patients and families who find themselves in the Macmillan ward.
Thank you
Trish x
