Story
2018 see's the Club celebrate its 40th Anniversary. As part of our celebrations we are challenging our swimmers to collectively swim 40 miles, 1 mile for each year we have been promoting and supporting our swimmers within the competitive swimming environment.
The 40 mile challenge will provide each of our swimmers the opportunity to achieve something they can be proud of.
The funds raised through your support will help provide additional training for our coaching team and new equipment, ensuring that the club has a stable and sustainable future to help our local youngsters realise their potential through the enjoyment of swimming as competitive sport.

6 years agoOur fantastic swimmers have completed their challenge and managed to complete over 50 miles with 40 minutes of the session left. Time for some well earned fun in the pool to end the evening. Thanks to everyone for their support it is greatly appreciated by all at the club.

Great news, we are halfway to our online target, thanks to everyone who has donated so far. With 3 days to go we don't expect our swimmers to stop halfway to their 40 mile target, so please keep sharing with you social media contacts and help us make it across the finish line.

6 years agoJust over a week to go now till our fantastic swimmers undertake their 40 mile journey. To put it into context that is 2560 lengths of our pool, the same distance as swimming across the Irish Sea from Cairnryan to Larne and no mean feat for our young athletes. Thank you everyone who has pledged their support so far, it is greatly appreciated by all at the club. Please help Up reach our target by sharing our page far and wide with your family, friends and colleagues.
