On the morning of Thursday 10th May 2018, Jay Gardner, a beloved son, husband, friend, but most importantly, father of two beautiful girls was snatched away from us.

At the young age of 43 Jay had a lifetime left to live, but in his time here, he made an impact on many that we're sure most agree will never be forgotten.

Jay's daughters, Tula and Ava 10 & 8 were everything to him. They were the miracles that him and Kelly were always told they could never have. Having first proved the doctors wrong with Tula, Kelly and Jay went on to have Ava and from the day they were born, they were the reason that he worked 70 hour weeks. Jay worked tirelessly to make sure the girls could be given everything they could ever wish for - like the two little miracle princesses that they were.

Regardless of all the spoils and the luxuries, Jay was always the first to make sure that the girls were always both polite and grateful for everything they received, he wasn't working that hard for nothing and as man that also came from humble beginnings, he knew the value of money and made sure he passed that on.

With Jay being the main breadwinner, Kelly sacrificed work to help raise the two girls. With the passing of Jay, and putting financial matters completely to one side, the girls have lost a role model and a worthy father who they loved and adored so very much. Aside from all the valuable lessons that only a father can teach his daughters, the girls have lost their rock.

We have set up this JustGiving page to open a trust fund or ISA for both Tula and Ava Gardner. Though possibly in vain, through this we aim to give the girls at least some aspect of the financial security that we know Jay would have so willingly provided for them. We cannot give them the memories that he did, we won't be able to come close to giving them the love that he did, but what we can try to offer is some attempt at security. This is all Jay would have ever wanted.

We understand that money is tight and want to make it abundantly clear that anything, however small, will be appreciated and will not go unnoticed.
