    Story

Tunbridge Wells Welcomes Refugees gives a hand to help refugees from troubled lands settle in peace and friendship in the Tunbridge Wells area. We need funds throughout the year to help us to help the refugees - e.g. by finding private landlord accommodation, arranging accompanied visits and appointments, teaching English, holding social gatherings and outings, and generally helping the families and boys to settle in.

We are holding a Festival of Hope on Sunday 8 October 2017 from 13.00 - 19.00 at the Forum, The Common, Tunbridge Wells, TN4 8YU.

It is a free Music Festival to raise awareness within the local community of the plight of refugees and what we can do to help them.

We will have fantastic music!! All amazing - the ORANGE CIRCUS BAND, the PAUL DUNTON ORCHESTRA, DAN SUMNER, the CREATE CHOIR, BOND OF UNION, and the mesmerising SYRIAN ALL STARS!

Expect tasty homemade Syrian food by Al Bet Betak and delicious homemade Waffles and Burgers by Food Comes First!

There will be talks and slides about the refugee camps, information about how you can help, and fun things for the family to do.

    Free admission.

Donations are welcome to help us with this Festival and to carry out all our activities helping refugees throughout the year.
