Our local community is raising funds to help pay the vets' bills for Twix, one of our neighbour's dogs.

Poor 1-year old Twix was enjoying a walk and play in the local field when she sadly slipped on the wet grass and slid down the banking into a fence and a pile of litter at the bottom, including broken bottles, cans and other dangerous rubbish.

Twix was taken to the emergency vet where it was confirmed that she had broken her right leg, so badly that it could require amputation.

Twix has undergone an operation to help repair her bone and is resting at home, in the hope that her bone and leg will heal.

The total costs for Twix's operation are at least £2,000, some of which has currently been contributed by the PDSA.

Money raised on this page will be used to pay for Twix's operation, with any leftover money donated to the PDSA so that they can help other pets in the future.
