This year, UCL boat club is entering a men's and women's team into the 4km relay at the British Rowing Indoor Championships. Last year, our senior men entered the same event, coming 6th out of 19 with a time of 11:25, which we are looking to improve upon this year- we have already posted a time that is 20 seconds faster in training. For our women, this will be the first time that they will be competing in the 4km event and we hope that they'll set a high standard for future squads at UCLBC.

Both teams have trained for the event on top of the training that they are already set as senior rowers at the boat club. This fundraiser aims to cover the cost of essential repair work that needs to be done to our novice rower's boats.

UCL runs one of the largest and most successful novice rowing programmes in the country on a tight budget and managed by volunteer student captains.
