I am going to Uganda in Summer 2018 to deliver a dignity project and sanitary items to young girls in the Coombe District of Uganda.

As part of a team of students from Southam College working with Teams4U, I will work in schools and communities in and around the Coombe district delivering sanitary items which will allow young girls to attend school and take part in normal everyday activities while they are on their period. Currently many girls miss up to a week of school each month as a result of a lack of sanitary items. This obviously has a huge impact on their education. We will also teach the girls the importance of safe sex, as many are sexually active from a young age.

I need to raise £1900 to be able to go on this expedition, and will be holding many fundraising events over the next 18 months at school and in my local community in order to reach this total.

This really is a trip of a lifetime and is about a cause that I am very passionate about. I would be so appreciative for any donation you can make - small or large every little counts!
