Weʼve raised £200 to Help Give The Gift Of Water To Those In Need In Pakistan

Funded on Friday, 22nd December 2017

    Story

One of the most basic human needs is having reliable access to clean water. Three children die every minute from drinking dirty water. With reliable access to clean water, thousands of lives could be saved each day. United We Stand aims to do this by providing a deepwater well in Pakistan and help those in need.

It costs from just £450 to build a deepwater well to give an entire community the gift of clean water. Drinking dirty, diseased water is one of the most common causes of death in the developing world, so your donation could be saving lives now and for years to come.

Deepwater wells provide their users with water for years and years. In rural areas they are a lifeline for the inhabitants as they may be the only source of potable water. When United We Stand installs a well, users are trained on how to maintain them and keep the water supply clean and free of pollutants. Providing water in this way is a very good way of offering Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) as the donor can expect to reap Allah's blessings for as long as the well supplies water.

United we stand will provide safe water to drink, wash, grow crops and to water animals. This will give those in need a healthier lifestyle and a better chance to go to school or work and a route out of poverty. But above all, a chance to gain a basic necessity that we are all blessed to receive at our finger tips.

Every donation counts and could save a life today. We promise to honor your generosity and use your donation in the most effective way possible. The needs and prices shown reflect the exact prices our projects cost based on personal research and the commitment by our team to ensure that every single penny that is donated is used as effectively as we can.
