    Weʼve raised £250 to send UPSU Taekwondo off to Worcester next month to compete in the 31st Student National Taekwondo Championships!

    Story

    UPSU Taekwondo have been funded solely off club memberships, but due to an increased interest in competing this year, we are looking to friends, family and the general public for donations of any amount.

    The money raised will help us cope with the costs of coaching, travel, accommodation and BTSF Membership fees for the weekend of March 3 -5.

    THE TEAM

    Joseph Adegbile, Club President

    - Imperial Open 2015: Silver
    - London Open 2016: Bronze
    - British Nationals 2016: Quarter-finals
    -Imperial Open 2016: Bronze

    Josh Smith, Social Secretary

    Since going to University, Josh tried his hand at WTF Taekwondo and has done very well. He has also had varying degrees of success in ITF:

    - represented the UK at the World Championships in 2008 and 2012
    -Imperial Open 2016 - Bronze

    Maxim Boyce-Davies

    Maxim has been very active in the ITF competitive scene and recently broke into the WTF scene.
    His most recent achievements include:

    - TAGB European Championships
    - TAGB World Championships 2016
    -Holland Cup 2016: Bronze
    - Scorpion Tournament 2017: Gold

    Afif Ismail

    Despite being a newcomer to the sport of Taekwondo, Afif certainly fights like a more experienced player. He comes from a Maylasian Martial Arts background. He has had success in the discipline, earning a Bronze in the Sllat Tournament in 2008.

    Josh Bowes

    Josh has participated in various competitions in both ITF and WTF styles of Taekwondo and has also tried his hand at kickboxing. Some of his achievements include:

    - GTI Nationals 2012: Bronze 2x
    -ISTI South East Open 2012: Silver
    -Imperial Open 2016: Silver

    Josiane Wilson

    Having only participated in competitions hosted by her local ITF club, this is a big step up for Josiane, one that she is more than ready to take. She has also had interest in Poomsae, earning herself a Bronze in 2015. She has recently also achieved her 1st Dan.
