Our Village Hall was built in 1868 by a group of gentlemen that realised the need for a hub in the local community. They formed a company and raised the funds to build the hall on donated land. 153 years later, the hall is still very much a centrally based community asset in the village.

The hall unfortunately is now in need of some TLC.

Over the years there have been some improvements and maintenance to keep the hall operational but it is now tired and we would live to bring this old and historic community asset back to its former glory and create a Hall that the whole village can use and be proud of in to the future.

With sustainability and Climate change at the forefront of every ones mind, we would like to change our outdated oil burning heating system and replace it with a modern Air source heat pump system with solar capabilities.

Also to rewire the hall as this is also very dated and needs to be safe for all.

Re structure the front entrance to the hall to enable better access to suit the needs of all that visit or use the hall

To open up the back of the hall with bi-fold doors and therefore allowing better access to the Garden and patio areas.

This would allow more people to use this area as part of the hall and not as it is currently used with a slight disconnect.
