Story
I'm sure we can all agree that the work that Lincoln County Hospital do for the community and the children in the Rainforest ward, Safari ward and Clinic 5 is essential and invaluable.
I feel that making a wide variety of reading and activity books available to the children using the hospital will give them that bit of joy which can make a real difference to their stay. The hospital has also informed me that some of the books Usborne have available could be used during scans and procedures to help diagnosis and treatment.
As an independent Usborne organiser I have taken the opportunity to organise a community book pledge to help make as many resources available to the children as possible. As part of the book pledge Usborne and I, between us, will donate an additional 20% of what is raised in free books. That means for every £50 that is donated the hospital will receive £60 worth of Usborne books.
I really hope that with the help from the local community and businesses we can reach or exceed our target of £500 of donations.
Thank you for reading.
