Utopia cheerleading stated in June 2016 with taster sessions. After the success of the sessions, Utopia Cheer started their journey to their first competitive season. It was a slow start but by April 2017 we had 10 committed athletes ready to compete! At their first competition, which was a regional competition the athletes had great fun on the floor. It wasn't a clean routine but they got through it and achieved 8th out of 11 teams. they then had 2 weeks until their next competition, which was Nationals! The athletes worked hard and it certainly paid off. The athletes achieved an amazing 2nd place! Throughout the first season the Athletes competed in sports bra and leggings. It would be GREAT for the athlete to be able to continue to grow within the sport of cheerleading and wear a uniform as most cheerleading teams do. As a small team in South East London it is hard for the athletes to pay for it all.

So to help raise money for the uniform the athletes are going to take part in a 10 mile walk, from Tower bridge to Thamesmead #TtoTWalk. All money raised will go towards the Programme.
