Update: Brian is undergoing treatment after surgery at Ninewells Hospital. He is recovering well and has settled back into Tayside with all his old chums. He has asked me to thank all you amazing people for making this outcome possible; without you his future would have been very bleak. A big thank you to Jim Smyth who instigated the project. I met Brian for coffee & cake yesterday. He’s in good spirits and his sister Evelyn has been very busy arranging everything to make life a good bit easier for him. He has been to the hospital and will receive treatment very soon. He is so grateful to you all for making it all possible. I read him the donator’s list yesterday and he was visibly touched at just how kind you all have been. WE BROUGHT BRIAN HOME thanks to your generosity. Thank you x

An update re Brian for all you very generous contributors. We now have a phone funded for the first year by Jimmy Ross; a big thanks for that Jimmy. An indestructible phone case has been bought also and Brian is, at the moment, learning to ‘drive’ the phone. His sister Evelyn is this week organising everything for him. The funds will be used in future for any equipment/furniture he needs when he is housed. I will be giving him a list of donators.
