On 17th September, I'll be taking part in the Stockport Big Run on behalf of WE G.R.O.W.

WE G.R.O.W. is a small local charity based on Woodbank Park in Stockport (reg charity no.1123596) that I got to know through my previous work in Stockport. The charity supports people in recovery from alcohol misuse through horticultural and other activities and a ceaseless amount of effort has been put in by volunteers and staff to support its success.

WE G.R.O.W. also works to change people's perception of someone with an alcohol addiction and help the person in recovery settle back into their local community alcohol free, and build relationships lost with family. What's more, they are fantastic people!

People who know me, know that running has helped me fight my own battle with depression and to try and raise a little money to help others seemed natural.
