Story
Hello my name is Verity and I am 19 years old. i am currently studying at Bangor University and I have previously travelled to Uganda to volunteer.
This summer (19th July - 1st September) I will be spending 6 weeks in the Kanungu District in South West Uganda with the charity; Volunteer Uganda, educating children in Maths, Science and English along with a team of 10 other volunteers.
The project I will be working with, thoroughly supports schools and communities in the Kanungu district. It is about 8 hour drive from Kampala (the capital of Uganda) and it is surrounded by the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. As a result of being so rural, the Kanungu district is a relatively undiscovered and understudied part of Uganda and the work provided by myself and other volunteers will allow sustainable development in the education of children and students in Uganda.
I will be doing a sponsored walk up Snowdon in May (weather dependent) and I will be doing various other fundraisers, including bake sales and selling homemade items at craft fairs.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, would be a huge help in allowing me to return to one of the most beautiful countries in the world and help these children, gain the education they deserve.
If you would like to find out any more information about the charity I am working with, check out this link!

Thank you!
