We are raising money for a new wheelchair to help my son Cameron to continue to play wheelchair football.

This is the only sport and hobby Cam can participate in due to his extreme disability and diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Duchenne MD is one of the most common and severe forms of muscular dystrophy

it usually affects boys in early childhood; young men with the condition will usually only live into their 20s.

Cameron is 21 years old.

There is currently no cure for Duchenne MD eventually it will affect the heart and the muscles used for breathing, at which point the condition becomes life-threatening

Cam is deeply passionate about football and was left devastated by the loss of his mobility and confinment to a wheelchair.

Cam has now found this new lease of life with wheelchair football.

Cameron plays at premiership level and his ambition is to play for England. Playing wheelchair football allows Cameron to participate again in his favourite sport. It also allows Cam to socialise and gain new friendships through wheelchair football and has significantly improved Camerons mental wellbeing since he received this diagnosis and subsequent associated devastating complications as he is now in heart failure.

Unfortunately Camerons sports wheelchair is now not fit for purpose and for Cam to contiue to play we need to fundraise to help purchase a new chair.

We would appreciate any donation no amount is too small (or large 😉) These funds will only be used to fund the cost of a new electric sports chair, as quoted below.
