Next summer, I’ll be embarking on a four-week Camps International expedition to Borneo, where I’ll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with local communities to help improve living standards by building community toilet blocks in areas where many homes are still without their own facilities. I’ll also be supporting ongoing wildlife conservation.

I’ll be living in the communities I’ll be working with, fully immersing myself in local life and helping and supporting local families and children. I’m hugely excited about the opportunity to interact with different communities, cultures and languages, to better understand other ways of life – and to make a positive difference to other people’s lives.

To raise funds, I’m taking to the water for a sponsored swim, where I’ll be racking up a total of 7.5 miles (603 lengths!) to mirror the 7,500 mile flying distance to Borneo. This will take me 10-weeks in total, and I’m already at the halfway mark, being invigilated by Minnows Swimming Club to make sure I keep things official. And on May 13 I’ll be taking part in my first ever triathlon. Any sponsorship would be fantastic and very much appreciated.
