Our family have been left devastated by theft and vandalism at St Andrews church cemetery in Curry Rivel. We sadly lost our sister Victoria and our grandmother in a house fire in 1996.Their memorial stones were chosen by our mother who has also since passed away. Victoria‘s memorial stone was stolen and our grandmothers vandalised In January.

We‘ve spent months attempting to recover the stone, working with the police and publishing appeals through as many news platforms as we could. Sadly we’ve been unsuccessful and have now accepted it‘s time to arrange repairs and a replacement.

We‘ve been contacted personally by so many kind people wanting to contribute to the replacement and repairs. The police have also received requests to donate and most recently been contacted by a fireman who attended on that fateful night. We‘re overwhelmed by the unexpected kindness of everyone and have been encouraged to set up this page.

The target set is the cost quoted to us for the necessary repairs and replacement. Any contribution at all will be very gratefully received. Should the donations exceed the target then we would like to pass on donations to The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
