    Story

This year will see the first ever U21 European Deaf Football Championships being held in Poland in August. Great Britain will be sending a team to compete in the tournament but to do this we need to raise much needed funds.

Great Britain Deaf Football is a voluntary organisation and all of the staff and players involved are self funding. We have an overall target of £25,000 to raise before the tournament in August so to help us reach this target each player and staff member will be challenged to raise £1,000. This money will go towards the cost of flights, accommodation, travel, facilities, kits etc.

As a qualified British Sign Language Interpreter I have supported the squad on a voluntary basis since 2014 and attend their training camps and friendly matches to support communication between the players and staff. I will be travelling to the championships with the team and would really appreciate your support in reaching my target of £1,000.

Any donation you could offer, no matter how large or small, would be much appreciated.

For further information about the squad and GB Deaf Football as a whole then please visit the website at www.britishdeaffootball.com

    Many thanks for your support.

Ok, so I have read the website again for the Dock swim and it is in fact a 1 mile OR 750m swim not 1 mile and 750m. I am aiming to complete the 1 mile course if I can get myself fit enough by 21st June. Either way I will be swimming in the dock so please support me.

I am doing the 'Summer Solstice Dock Swim' in Liverpool, 21st June. I will be swimming 1 mile, 750m in open water. This will be a massive challenge for me and my training has started already. Please support me with this as I need all the help I can get. I must be mad!!!!
