My gentle giant of a dog got run over by a speeding hit and run driver outside our house. They then sped off and left a bunch of younger children to deal with the aftermath. Thankfully he is a stoic, strong fighter and survived his ordeal ( punctured lungs and shattered leg that had to be rebuilt with metal). Whilst there is no price that can be put on the joy he brings to our lives, the vet bill was almost as almighty as the sound of him bouncing off someones bumper. Any help people could offer, even if its just well wishes, all help the greater cause and his ongoing aftercare and recouperation.
