On Sunday, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck the island of Lombok, killing more than 130 people and destroying the homes of many. I stayed on Gili Trawangan (a neighbouring Island for 3 weeks) on my way home from Australia with my girlfriend and a few friends. When i arrived on Gili T, A man called Soul arranged are pickup to take us to are villa. he was the manager of the villas but after greeting us with a song and a smile, he became are friend. He made our stay special and went the extra mile to help us. Getting to know Soul more i understand that his family lives on Lombok and he works on Gili T to help provide for his family.

After the earthquake, Souls family home has been destroyed and he is left with no job to pay to rebuild it. Soul and his family are safe but left with nothing but hope that everything will be okay. When i contacted him, He was Happy that him and his family are safe, but he doesn't no what to do now, with no way to make money and no one to turn to for help.

I had this idea to help Soul through just giving to show support and to give him hope so he can continue to help his family though this tough time.
