Story
Im a serving prison officer and ex serviceman. At work we have a Vetrans in Custody scheme and on the 7th may 2018 we are running a V.I.C awareness day. A great part of this is prisoners and staff doing a challenge which includes cycling, running, walking and rowing covering distances equivalant to those from London to Paris via the battle grounds of the 2 world wars. This challenge has been put out and excepted by the prisons in Wales. Myself and a few prisoners will be cycling on a turbo trainer for 24hrs to cover the distance of 280mls. We start 11 AM in the 7th may and finish 11AM on the 8th may which is also V.E. day. Our prison is raising funds for our local RBL care home Galanos house.
