Our Mission

WE strives for a future where female representation exists in all spheres of life, from within our homes, families, societies, natiions and in the global community.

Our goal is to empower and positively impact the lives of Sri Lankan women and their families.

Our Objectives

- To foster the personal growth, skill enhancement, socio-political awareness and the development of strong community leadership qualities among our members.

- To raise awareness about women’s legal and political rights and enable the exercising of democratic rights to live in peace, harmony, and dignity.

- To work collaboratively with our sister organisation Women for Rights Sri Lanka towards the advancement of women's empowerment goals.

- To unite women from diverse ethnicities, faiths, and backgrounds, encouraging collaboration in support of our core values

Our Projects

WE Sri Lanka’s projects and activities align with the top six UN Sustainable development goals. Our projects lend relief towards goals around hunger, health, education and sanitation.

Our campaigns and lobbying focus on anti-poverty legislation and women’s/human rights campaigning to address the marginalised state of this population.

Fundraising

WE relies on diverse methods to raise funds to we can continue our work. For example, fundraising events, corporate and community fundraising, challenge events, as well as one-off donations and regular gifts.
