Cara Shardlow has recently been invited to join the British team with her own horse Detonator in FRANCE. This partnership has funded themselves up through the ranks to this level. They are a very talented pair and I would hate for them to miss out because she cannot afford to go. I asked Cara how much money the team contributed towards getting herself and her horse there, also the stabling and accommodation for them while they are there, she told me that they do not pay one penny towards her expenses, DISGRACEFUL. As dressage has such a high profile at the moment with the recent successes of Carl. Charlotte and the magnificent Valegro it would be such a loss to the sport if truly talented riders who up till now have funded themselves have to miss out on being on the national team for lack of funds.
