Story
West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service Charity Ladder Climb.
A group of West Sussex trainee firefighters will be attempting to raise money for the Firefighters Charity when they take on a charity ladder climb on Friday 28th April 2017 at Gatwick Airport.
The 11 recruits, who began an intensive 14-week training course to become full time Community Firefighters in February, will be aiming to climb the height of Mt Kilimanjaro (5,895metres).
Course Commander Keith Parvin said "There is a longstanding tradition of trainee firefighters raising money for a charity to mark their commitment to a career serving their community. Our new recruits are very keen to continue this tradition. We now need the public to get behind this challenge and help our trainee firefighters raise as much money as possible for sick and injured firefighters.

7 years agoHi All, after an issue with the previous page ending prematurely this new page has been started. Don't worry though, the excellent £620 already raised is safe and will be added to the final total. So please keep on donating to a great cause and see if we can reach the £1000 mark.
