Three weeks ago, our Chairman Turgut Esandagli died, may he rest in peace. Turgut had been Chairman for over five years and was the main conduit for bringing funds into the Club, in effect, we have been able to carry on due to his efforts. As Turgut was a relatively young man, we saw this situation carrying on for many years and would soon be looking at funding for the rest of the season and then the season coming up. Turgut's death has thrown those plans into turmoil. We need funding to carry on this season, these funds will also give us time to plan for next season in such a way that the problem of lack of funding does not arise again.
Waltham Forest FC (Founded 1868 as Matlock Swifts then played as Leyton FC and Leyton Pennant FC) needs about £8000 to finish the season and to give us time to create our own business plan to move forward to the future. We are entering our 150th year, which makes us one of the oldest football clubs in the world.; we would like to be here to celebrate our 200th anniversary...please help.
