Unfortunately 9 months ago I lost my mum to terminal cancer, We always had a love for animals and Every month of every year for 7 years we volunteered to donate to animal sanctuary’s. Our plan was to aid these sanctuary’s in hand, Which WE never got to do.

I want to work with animals and spread awareness about animal rights. But the sanctuary would be shut down if they don’t get volunteers. The woman I’ll be helping is from Oz and she created the sanctuary when she came to Thailand to teach English. She created the sanctuary and started rehabilitating dogs so they could be homed in better countries such as USA, Canada and New York. She would fly them over and get them fostered. They do an amazing job.

I just didn’t have much of a plan but I just thought if I don’t do it now and go I’ll put it on hold and not end up going, so I booked my main flight to go. I can work in the sanctuary for 1 month and 2 weeks if I wanted to but I want to build kennels and help with the care of the dogs.

My degrees in animal behaviour, management and welfare so animals mean a lot to me. I’d love to start my career eventually but I have to gain recent experience outside of the hospital environment. So here I am! Ha.
