Story
My nephew Daniel has been through a nightmare journey, from complaining about Headaches & not getting the medical attention required, to two weeks later, being in such pain that he was given a ct scan at Raigmore Hospital then rushed by Ambulance to Glasgow sick children's Hospital & had a Brain Tumour removed. He spent 21 Days in Glasgow, 15 of them pretty much bed-bound due to the drain from his skull! All this for an Autistic 14 year old boy. I am so proud of how he has coped, showing true strength & courage whenever he has to go back & get examined to see if the operation has been a success & no further growth has occurred. So far so good! Daniel has had to learn to walk again, that has taken 8 months. Things are so much harder now than they were. I would love to send him on a fantastic holiday. I think it’s the least he deserves for his positive outlook & Possibly his parents could do with a break too!
Whatever I raise, will be spent half to Daniel & half to Royal Children’s Hospital Glasgow. Please help.
I’m not the fittest of folk, growing up with Asthma & now sitting in a car for work, however I have always fancied climbing Ben Nevis. So on either the 5th or 6th of September 2018 I will be giving it a go, with my Best Friends, son Stuart Patterson guiding & cajoling me along the way. (Thanks Stuart).
I signed the pledge until then, to help improve my fitness & will start carrying my golf clubs again until then. So sponsor me, give what you can spare & hopefully together we can raise a good old sum & bring some much needed cheer to a very spirited 15 year old. Thanks for reading, Billy
