My sister is 10 years old and was born with cerebral palsy throughout her childhood we was told she wouldn't be able to do things most children can like walk run swim. However she is capable of so much And is a very active fun and creative girl However one obstacle she was not able to overcome is a pushbike She would like to be able to play out on a bike with her friends so we brought her a bike and a helmet and let her try but after a good few hours of trying we have had to accept she can not ride a conventional bike. We are trying to raise the money to buy her a specialised pushbike from tom cat who hand make bikes for disabled people Which will support her body and help her balance whilst using it. Having one of these bikes will not only let her play with the other kids but it will also provide a means of excercise and help to keep her mobile which as she can not walk very far is vital. It will benefit her in so many ways and it will make her happy.
