Weʼre raising £100 to Supply homeless women in Plymouth with personal panic alarm
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Woman to Woman is a fundraising campaign to help the homeless women on the streets of Plymouth. By raising awareness and creating a movement of women we hope to encourage women to look out for each other. Homelessness is increasing in the UK. In 2018 4,677 people were recorded as rough sleepers of which 642 were female. Although it is a terrible time for both men and women, women are far more vulnerable and attract many forms of assault such as verbal, physical and sexual.
Im pleased to announce that we have now teamed up with Soul Sista who are joining us on our mission to help end violence on the streets by raising funds and awareness. This will enable us to purchase personal alarms in addition to the ones we have already donated to Shekinah.
Soul Sista is a female lead DJ collective providing new emerging female talent with a platform. They focus on female Dj's as an attempt to help even out the current gender imbalance within the DJ world; Our mission isn’t to contradict norms, it’s to provide aspiring DJ's with the tools and guidance they need to succeed in the industry.
"We believe in creating an environment where curiosity, confidence and individuality are embraced; a place where all types of DJ music are celebrated."
Their events will be moving forward the fundraising and awareness which will lead to more alarms being donated.
