    Story

Five Waldringfield Cadet boats have recently been selected to represent GBR at the 50th Cadet World Championships taking place in Buenos Aires, Argentina this winter. To have half of the entire team coming from Waldringfield is a fantastic achievement. We are looking to raise money to contribute towards the costs of shipping their boats out to Argentina for the event.

All these local kids are 16 or under and have been sailing at Waldringfield from as young as 6. The club supports them through training and racing in a family friendly environment.
The Cadet is a small two person dinghy, with spinnaker, sailed by kids up to the age of 17. It’s an excellent training and racing boat which has been a proving ground for several Olympic champions. The Cadet is a great boat to start sailing – come and join in!
Please look at the WSC website for information on junior sailing opportunities.
